This year’s Forum was intentionally designed as a focused gathering for Academic Directors, Women’s Training Directors, School Directors, and other leaders involved in training the next generation of church leadership. By creating a smaller, more specialized setting, CHORD provided an opportunity for School of Mission strategic planning, collaboration between leaders, and encouragement among those serving in these vital roles.

Held in the historic city of Boston, Massachusetts, the Forum was warmly supported by the Boston Church through their classic New England hospitality. Over three inspiring days, participants bonded, reflected, and grew together in an atmosphere best described as intimate and encouraging.

“Inspired by Hope” served as the theme for this year’s gathering. Participants revisited the journey that brought many into leadership, reflecting on the sacrifices and convictions that laid the foundation for today’s training ministries. Through Scripture and honest discussions, leaders were challenged to renew their vision, strengthen their leadership, and improve the way the next generation is trained and supported.

A major highlight of the Forum was the opportunity for School Directors, Academic Directors, and Women’s Training Directors to meet separately in breakout discussions focused on issues specific to their responsibilities. The “Collaboration Discussions” also encouraged thoughtful conversations on strengthening partnerships between Schools of Mission and their stakeholders. Participants were further inspired by updates showcasing the uniqueness and progress of each school.

Beyond the sessions, participants also enjoyed the excitement of Boston, including an evening at the famous Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees rivalry game. Despite the chilly weather, the evening was filled with fun, fellowship, and unforgettable memories.

The Forum concluded on a deeply reflective note as Dr. David Pocta led participants through the Emmaus Road account, pointing hearts toward a renewed encounter with the risen Savior. Following the Forum, CHORD hosted a special “Lunch and Learn” luncheon where staff shared more about CHORD’s history, initiatives, and mission while participants enjoyed fellowship together.

As attendees departed Boston, there was a shared sense of gratitude, renewal, and encouragement. More than just a conference, the gathering served as a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and the hope that continues to inspire the work of raising up future leaders. Indeed, everyone left truly inspired by hope.
