Emerging Scholars

  • CHORD is deeply committed to supporting its CHORD Cohort of Emerging Scholars Initiative through a multifaceted approach, ensuring comprehensive assistance in various capacities. Each individual within the CHORD Cohort benefits from dedicated mentoring, providing personalized guidance and fostering professional growth. Alongside this, robust academic guidance is offered, helping students navigate their educational paths, excel in their studies, and achieve their academic aspirations.

A cornerstone of CHORD's support system is its emphasis on community and connection. We actively assist CHORD Cohort members in staying connected within their local church communities, recognizing the vital role these spiritual homes play in their holistic development. Furthermore, CHORD proactively identifies and facilitates opportunities within the academic environment or the specialized fields of study for each member. This includes connecting them with relevant research projects, internships, networking events, and professional development programs that align with their career goals and academic pursuits.

It is important to note that while CHORD strives to provide extensive support, financial assistance is not automatically guaranteed for all CHORD Cohort students. The provision of financial support is a carefully considered process, with each student's circumstances being reviewed individually. This thorough assessment ensures that financial aid is allocated strategically, based on demonstrated need and the overall financial landscape of the program. Our aim is to ensure that financial support, when granted, maximizes its impact in enabling students to pursue their academic and professional journeys without undue burden.

  • We are in the process of reviewing the different areas and specialties needed for a new CHORD Cohort. We invite you to check our website periodically and subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
