Transition of the Chance of a Lifetime Program

In a significant step forward for leadership development, Chord has transferred stewardship of the Chance of a Lifetime program to Hope for Kids. This change reflects our shared commitment to empowering the next generation of faith leaders and ensures that the program will remain a powerful tool for spiritual and leadership growth for years to come.

The Chance of a Lifetime (COAL) Program
Chance of a Lifetime is a 15-month immersive leadership program that takes participants through three global ministry contexts. Designed to challenge and develop emerging leaders, the program combines hands-on experience with spiritual and personal growth.

About Hope for Kids (www.hopeforkids.org)
Hope for Kids is a ministry known for its transformative impact on young lives. Through faith-based camps, mentoring programs, and service opportunities, it creates spaces where children and youth grow in faith, character, and leadership.

The passing of the Chance of a Lifetime program marks a new chapter for both organizations. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of the Chance of a Lifetime program as it flourishes under the leadership of Hope for Kids.

For the past three years, Chance of a Lifetime (COAL) has offered opportunities for 10-15 individuals per year to gain leadership and ministry training while changing lives and growing personally. COAL is a 15-month immersive leadership training program which occurs in three dynamic ministry settings around the world.

The first season of this internship began in June of 2022 and was completed in August of 2023. COAL is now in its fourth season. COAL interns begin their adventure at Camp Hope 4 Kids for 3 months of foundational leadership training. Interns then move to a school of missions in the United States for an academic year of more immersive ministry training. The last phase of the program sends interns to experience international, overseas missions for three months in a local church setting. Together, these dreamers learn and serve in campus, youth and family, and/or young professional ministries.
